On November 2, 2013, we participated in the prestigious high-class event, the annual Fall Festival at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre in Toronto, called The Road To Asia.
This year, in addition to our own group as we had been doing for the past decade, we invited another group to come and demonstrate with us, the Jigan Dojo from St. Catharines.
It was wildly successful.
In all, our two groups demonstrated the classical sword arts of Katori Shinto Ryu and Yagyu Shinkage Ryu Heiho.
Each group put on an excellent demonstration of their art. 😉
We also took the opportunity to capture our demonstration on film.
Here is Deanna and Scott demonstrating both the Sangakuen and Kuka sets of kata.
And Scott and Tong Sensei performed the Kuka-no-Tachi set.
The Road To Asia 2013 was an excellent event. Our gratitude to everyone who participated and helped out!
