On March 5, 2016, the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre in Toronto held its annual Spring Festival which is called Haru Matsuri. We were fortunate to be allowed to participate in this high-class event.
This year had a new twist. Instead of just running the demonstration with our own group as we had been doing for the past decade, we experimented this year with inviting another group to come and demonstrate with us, the Toronto Niten Kai Kenjutsu Dojo from downtown Toronto.
It turned out to be a big success.
In all, we had the following groups participating: Yagyu Shingan Ryu Taijutsu, Hyoho Niten Ichi Ryu, Ono-ha Itto Ryu, and Yagyu Shinkage Ryu Heiho.
Each group put on an excellent demonstration of their art. 😉
We had photographers who came to capture our demonstration on film.
And we were filmed as well by professional film crews.
